Global Agricultural Resources is committed to enabling developing countries and local / rural communities to benefit from the cultivation of energy crops, both locally and nationally.
By providing full financial backing for the projects and purchasing the production output from valuable cash crops at market prices, GAR provides revenue opportunities and empowers thousands of farmers. This commitment is implemented through long-term (15-20 years) contracts with local farmers’ organizations.
Energy crops projects make possible the local production of biofuel for the host country’s own transportation and power generation needs, which reduces dependence on costly imports. Surplus production will be exported to international markets. Every GAR project attracts foreign investment and provides employment for thousands of farmers. Over time, the project area enjoys rapid development, and the country’s industrial base expands. GAR’s R&D activities provide the national industry with cutting-edge agribusiness technology.
GAR places the local community at the centre of its vision. It is morally committed to community involvement through attending to community needs in areas not directly related to the project.

Biofuel is a natural and renewable fuel alternative, produced from vegetable oils. It contains no petroleum, is non-toxic and biodegradable. The term includes biodiesel and ethanol.
